MAYAMBA JOHNSON – A liberal Ugandan journalist aspiring to be an international voice that evokes change. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Uganda Christian University, Uganda. He is a passionate writer with special skills in analytical writing, news gathering, editing, photography, graphic design and also a public speaker.

With his interest in media, he began his career in 2010 as an intern with Dunamis Radio based in Mukono District. While working as a co-host of a Current Affairs talk show from their, he gained training in broadcast media, public speaking and debate.

He joined the Monitor Publications Limited while still a student at the university as a correspondent in the districts of Mukono, Kayuga, Buikwe and Buvuma. He became a regular contributor for the paper since then to date. Over the years, he has a wealth of experience in writing news and features articles on various issues among which include health, politics, lifestyle, agriculture and infrastructural development.

He is the news editor of ‘The Standard’, a Uganda Christian University community newspaper where he works with a team of veteran journalists and sub editors from recognised media houses.
